DUNO
AND WALLACE TEAM WITH LAMMERS
Trio
Ready for the 6 Heures du Circuit
Mont-Tremblant
May 18, 2004 - Milka Duno and Andy Wallace will be joined by Jan Lammers for
the next race of the 2004 Rolex Sports Car Series season - the 6 Heures du
Circuit Mont-Tremblant in Mont-Tremblant, Quebec, Canada May 21-23, 2004.
The Mont-Tremblant event marks the first six-hour race of the season and
will occur back-to-back with a second six-hour race at Watkins Glen
International Raceway in upstate New York June 18-20, 2004.
With this endurance event Milka and Andy will be joined by sports car
veteran Jan Lammers. Together the trio will take turns behind the wheel of
the #2 CITGO-branded Pontiac Crawford Daytona Prototype.
"I'm really looking forward to this race," said Milka. "We've had a little
more than the normal amount of time between races and I'm anxious to compete
again. I've never raced at Mont-Tremblant, but have been told by many
drivers that it is a wonderful circuit - but very difficult. I look forward
as well to racing with Jan. He's a very good driver and I'm confident that
he'll add a lot to our effort."
"I raced at Mont-Tremblant in 2002 in the Crawford SSC2K," said Andy. "We
were leading the race when my teammate had some trouble - we finished 7th.
Although it's a six-hour race, it's still a flat-out sprint from start to
finish. I enjoyed the track on my last visit, and have been impressed by the
gains we've made in recent testing. I'm looking forward to a strong showing
in Mont-Tremblant."
Le Circuit Mont-Tremblant is a 2.65-mile, 15-turn permanent road course
situated in one of the most gorgeous settings in the world for a race track.
The layout is a classic for racers, as it combines the natural topography of
the site with elevation changes from the start/finish line to corner 8 and
back. The track is bordered by Lake Moore and Devil River (La Diable) and
the rocky hillsides around some parts of the track provide natural
grandstands which afford spectators many magnificent elevated vantage
points.
The 6 Heures du Circuit Mont-Tremblant race will be broadcast LIVE on the
SPEED Channel starting at 11:00am ET on Sunday, May 23. Additional event
