DUNO AND WALLACE HEAD WEST FOR SEASON FINALE AT CALIFORNIA SPEEDWAY

October 27, 2004 - CITGO Racing's Milka Duno and Andy Wallace are heading West for the final round of the 2004 Rolex Sports Car Series Championship season - the Lexus Grand American 400k at California Motor Speedway in Fontana, CA October 29-31.

Andy is currently 3rd in the Daytona Prototype Driver Point Standings and Milka is 5th. The CITGO Racing Howard-Boss Motorsports team is 3rd in the Daytona Prototype Team Point Standings. The Daytona Prototype category is the highest and fastest class in the Rolex Sports Car Series.

Both Milka and Andy have an opportunity to advance their standing with a good result on California Speedway's 2.8-mile, 21-turn circuit and no doubt they will be doing everything they can to do just that in their #2 CITGO Pontiac Crawford Daytona Prototype. While the opportunity exists, it would not be an easy one to achieve - if Andy and Milka were to score an overall victory the drivers one position ahead of both of them in the standings would have to finish 12th or worse - something they've only done once this season.

"I know that Andy and I will be giving it our all this weekend," said Milka. "We have a slim chance - but a chance - and we'll be doing our best. We owe it to each other as teammates as well as to the team and CITGO. While I'm very excited for this race I'm also sad that it is our last race this year. Driving with Andy has been incredible and he has taught me so much. Together with the team we have faced many challenges this season and where it stands now we can be very proud of our performance. CITGO has been there with us every step of the way and I'm very thankful for their support."

Daytona Prototype track activity over the three days for the Lexus Grand American 400k includes three practice sessions on Friday, a practice and a qualifying session on Saturday, a final practice before the race on Sunday morning and then a 1:00pm PST race start. SPEED Channel will broadcast the race live beginning at 1:00pm PST.
