CITGO RACING'S ALABAMA RACE REPORT
Duno and Beretta Fight Back to 17th Overall

July 30, 2006, Los Angeles, CA...Milka Duno, Olivier Beretta and the CITGO
Racing squad did their best to overcome a lap 1 incident that took them out
of contention for a podium at today's Porsche 250 at Barber Motorsports
Park. Coming back from a low of 38th overall Milka, Olivier and the crew
were able to take the #11 CITGO Pontiac Riley to 17th overall by race end.

Starting today's race 11th on the grid, Olivier was able to jump up to 7th
in turn 1 of the first lap of the 93-lap competition, when contact at turn 5
with another Daytona Prototype put Olivier and the #11 CITGO Pontiac Riley
in the pits for repairs during the first caution of the day.

The crew quickly made repairs and the car was back on track - only to be
brought to the pits again several minutes later to put on a new nose. At
approximately 21 minutes into the race Olivier and the #11 CITGO Pontiac
Riley were back into the pits having been assessed a two-minute penalty for
what the organizers deemed was "avoidable contact" during the first lap
incident - and then a "stop and go penalty" for a pit lane speed violation.

Duno took the wheel on lap 36 and in 30th overall and was able to continue
to advance the effort an additional 13 positions to a 17th place overall
finish.

Milka Duno
"We had some back luck today right at the start of the race. This can be
very demoralizing and hard to overcome for many teams and drivers - but not
us. We fought back as hard as we could and not a one of us "lifted" in our
effort toward the best possible result we could achieve given the
circumstances."

Olivier Beretta
"The week has been good. We were always improving -- we were good on Friday
and we were quick in the wet. I started the race and I had a very good
start. Unfortunately, I had contact with another car, we got a penalty and
the race was over. But the practice was good and we were improving all the
time. We showed the car was not so bad!
