Milka Duno returns to Europe

Milka Duno, from Venezuela, finished two positive days of rehearsals with the Vergani Racing Team of Formula Nissan, in tests done last tuesday and wednesday in the italian circuit Maggione.

Natural of Caracas, Milka returns to work on the single-seater with a 2000cc engine, and inmediately got in rhythm, setting supperb timings even in the cold conditiones of the circuit, in the north of the Italian peninsula. Milka set the quickest lap in 1'07'3, almost a second and a half faster than her best lap during the previous season. To make her progress more evident, it is enough to compare her timing with the one set last year by the italian Giussepe Burlotti, 2 tenths higher than Milka's.

"We are delighted with her evolution" commented Francesco Marzi, one of the owners of the Vergani Team. "Milka has done a superb job, confirming her adaptation to the Coloni-Nissan. At the end of last year she was already surprising us with her job, but now she has ratified she has every intention of being one of the main protagonists in the 2000 class, where we will aim for the top from the first date".

Practices will continue this weekend in the spanish circuit of Albacete and from there Milka will fly to the States, where she will fill a tight schedule with the media in the Florida area and inmediately will climb onto the poweful Panoz-Mugen of the prototypes LMP900 category for the American Le Mans series, aiming for the absolute debut at the 12 hours of Sebring next 16th of March.
