Duno Delivers Top-Ten Finish at New Jersey Motorsports Park

MILLVILLE, NJ. (July 1, 2012) – Milka Duno delivered an exciting 10th place finish in today’s ARCA Racing Series presented by Menards All-American Race Weekend presented by Global Barter Corporation at New Jersey Motorsports Park in Millville, New Jersey.

With a new team, David Leiner Racing, and running with Toyota power, Duno took her No. 94 Milka Way Toyota Camry from 21st on the starting grid to a 10th place finish on the 2.25-mile, 14-turn Thunderbolt road course at NJMP.

The ARCA Series has confirmed that Duno’s top-ten finish is the highest finish ever by a Venezuelan driver in the 60-year history of the series.

The weather during the 2-hour race generated track temperatures above 100 degrees and the temperature inside the race cars during the race was estimated to be over 140 degrees.

“We definitely arrived here recharged and reinvigorated with a new team that’s running exclusively with Toyota power, said Duno. “David Leiner has been my crew chief since mid-season last year and it’s so great to be running with him and his crew with his new team. The effort of the crew today was awesome! What we demonstrated with this result is that we are a team and an organization that simply will never give up. We earned this finish today and I’m really very happy and proud for all of us that we accomplished this.”

“The amount of work and effort it took to put this all in place and perform as well as we did today was staggering,” said team owner and crew chief David Leiner. “Everyone associated with this effort gave nothing less than 150%. Our crew worked so hard for this that I can’t possibly thank them enough. Milka started the race 21st and brought it home in 10th – what a fantastic job! Our first race with this new effort and we score our first top-ten at the same time!”
